On 17 October 2010, Mary MacKillop was canonised in Rome, becoming Australia's first Saint! People from around the world took part in the Canonisation through a live, interactive webcast, including live chat, twitter feeds and Q&A with the commentators on air!
The webcast began at 5pm ADST with the Mary MacKillop Feast Day Mass at St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, followed by a live cross to Rome at 6:30pm ADST for the Canonisation Mass from St Peter’s Basilica, where Mary MacKillop was officially declared 'Saint Mary of the Cross'.
